2010 Annual Chartered Accountant Salary Survey
About the Survey
As one of Canada's premier finance and accounting recruitment firms, Lannick Group of Companies has been reporting on the salaries and bonuses of Chartered Accountants working both in public accounting and industry in the Greater Toronto Area – the vast majority working for large organizations ($50 million-plus in revenues) – for 24 years.
The numbers reported in this annual survey are based on CAs who we have placed in fulltime roles or whose salary data we have obtained within the past year (June 11, 2009 to June 10, 2010) and are primarily reflective of central Toronto extending from the downtown core up to North York and west to Mississauga. Remuneration tends to drop as a function of distance from the core. Someone in Burlington or Ajax, for example, may earn five to eight percent less than their counterpart in the same job in downtown Toronto. For accurate Ottawa numbers, please multiply figures by 85%.
Survey Notes

- Salaries vary widely as a function of industry sector, risk/reward factors, etc.
- As with any salary survey, these numbers were collected over the last twelve months; actual remuneration today for each year will be somewhat higher across the board.
Users of this survey are encouraged to directly if they have any questions on how to apply this information.
